Les novetats a l’Apple Store


Per fi s’han materialitzat els rumors d’aquests dies: nous iMacs, Mac Pro, LED Cinema Displays, i el famós Magic Trackpad. Anem a mirar-ho per parts.

Els nous iMacs

Aquests nous iMacs incorporen els últims processadors d’Intel de la famíllia Core i. També porten una nova gràfica integrada, a escollir entre una Radeon HD 5670 de 512 MB o la Radeon HD 5750 d’1GB de GDDR5 –pel de 27′–. La HD 4670 és la bàsica.

Els processadors Core d’Intel són de 32 nanòmetres, augmentant el rendiment, i els i5 i i7 incorporen 4 nuclis de procesament. També porten la tecnologia Turbo Boost. La RAM passa a 4GB per tots els models i podem augmentar-la fins a 15GB! I també hi han novetats en l’aspecte d’emmagatzemament: podem combinar dos discs durs, un tradicional i un SSD. Molt bona pensada, per instal·lar per exemple el OS i els programes al SSD i tota la resta d’informació al HDD. També porta lector de targetes i un FireWire 800, a part dels 4 USB.

Els van des dels 1.199 per l’iMac de 21,5 polzades amb un i3 de 306 GHz, fins als 1.999 € per l’iMac de 27 polzades amb un i5 quad-core a 2,8 GHz ampliable a un i7 a 2,93 GHz.

Mac Pro

El nou Mac Pro, que conserva el disseny, podrà amb 12 nuclis! Dic podrà, perquè encar no està disponible, ‘Muy pronto’. Al final podrem tenir fins a 24 nuclis virtuals amb els processadros Xeon d’Intel.

En l’apartat gràfic vindrà una radeon HD 5770 amb 1 GB de GDDR5 de sèrie, i podrem escollir una HD 5870, que aporta el doble de velocitat que la bàsica.

Pel que es veu a la web, la distribució interior no ha cambiat, el disseny tampoc, però per mitjà de disc durs de 2TB podrem arribar a tenir 8TB en total, però també podem combinar-ho amb SSD, i les configuracions RAID.

LED Cinema Display

Una altra de les novetats esperada: el nou monitor LED d’Apple de 27 polzades, i una relació d’aspecte 16:9. Aquest nou panell IPS aporta un 50% més de píxels que l’anterior versió de 24 polzades. Obtindrem una ressolució de 2560 x 1440 píxels.

Incorpora un sensor de llum ambiental per ajustar automàticament la brillantor. També s’han redissenyat els altaveus incorporats per oferir un so més greu. També incorpora l’iSight integrada, tres ports USB, com ja era habitual. A part, porta un cable 3 en 1: connector MagSafe d’alumini, el Mini DisplayPort, i l’USB en un sol cable!

En un principi podria estar a 999 dòlars, ja veurem quina és la conversió, de moment no està disponible igual que el Mac Pro.

Magic Trackpad

Els rumors de fa mesos finalment s’han verificat. Apple ha presentat un trackpad multitàctil per a ordinadors de sobretaula. Bàsicament, és el trackpad d’un MacBook, fet més gran, amb piles i sense fils.

Permet, clicar, fer zoom, rotar, i segurament d’aquí poc apareixeran apps per vitaminar-lo com va passar amb el Magic Mouse. El Magic Trackpad val 69 €, dos euros més barat que el Magic Mouse, i l’enviament està estimat en 24 hores.

Bonus: Carregador Apple de piles

Ara Apple ens ofereix un carregador de piles pels nostres dispositius sense fils. Gasta menys, dura més, i tot això. Per 29 € tindrem el carregador oficial d’Apple amb sis piles incloses (teclat + Magic Mouse + trackpad = 6 piles?!).

I fins aquí les novetats d’avui. Potser alguns –m’incloc– esperàvem un MacBook Air, o les reserves per l’iPhone 4, però que hi farem. Que us han semblat les novetats?! Les que esperaveu, voleu més, massa car…? Digueu la vostra en un comentari, o amb un tweet!

Què n’esperem de la Keynote i la WWDC?


La setmana que ve comença la WWDC, de dilluns a divendres desenvolupadors de tot el món rebran instruccions, tallers, conferències… A sobre d’Apple en les seves diferents plataformes: iPhone OS, Mac OS i Safari principalment. I justament el dia 7, dilluns, donant el tret de sortida a la conferència, Steve Jobs farà una Keynote de la que s’espera l’iPhone OS 4.0. I ja està? Alguns ja ens ho heu anat dient pel Twitter, anem a fer un recopilatori del que esperem i volem treure’n de la setmana entrant. Comencem per les qüestions més evidents:

iPhone OS 4.0

Clarament tota la WWDC girarà sobre l’univers iPhone OS i les apps entre d’altres. Ha de venir amb ‘multitasca’, suport per teclats bluetooth –com l’iPad–, fons de pantalla, carpetes per agrupar aplicacions, Mail vitaminat, iBooks, noves característiques pel sector empresarial, Game Center… Jo personalment espero que ens tinguin alguna sorpresa més, a part del multitasca que poster és el que més destaca. Nou Mac Pro amb Intel Xeon “Nehalem”


Mac Pro

Una altra novetat que ens ha portat aquest dimarts és el nou model de Mac Pro amb processador Nou Mac Pro amb Intel Xeon “Nehalem”, que proporcionen una potència de fins el doble del model anterior.

D’aquest nou model han redissenyat tot l’interior per tal de que sigui més fàcil expandir-lo, ja que té suport fins a 32 GB de RAM, 4 targetes PCI express i fins a 4 TB d’espai de disc.

De serie inclou una NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 amb 512 MB de memòria GDDR3, però opcionalment s’hi pot muntar una ATI Radeon HD 4870. Inclou sortides DVI i Mini-displayport.

A part de totes les novetats sembla que el preu també es rebaixa una mica i el tindrem disponible la setmana que ve!

S’actualitza el Boot Camp i el firmware del Mac Pro


Apple-Boot-Camp 1186660693104

S’ha actualitzat el Boot Camp en aquest cas per poder utilitzar els teclats retroil·luminats dels MacBook Pro i també poder utilitzar l’Apple Remote. També han fet correcció de Bugs.

I l’actualització del Mac Pro, actualitza el sistema SMC, que s’encarrega dels ventiladors.

Earnings Grow 88 Percent Year-over-Year CUPERTINO, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Apple(R) today announced financial results for its fiscal 2007 second quarter ended March 31, 2007.
